11 ways to have a Great day at the office

  1. Plan your week in advance

  2. List activities into two categories

    1. what you are currently working on, priorities - schedule these activities

    2. what you what to accomplish but don't have time for right now - schedule these when time permits or if they become priorities

  3. Complete the largest and/or most important activity first

  4. Break this large activity into small tasks

  5. Prioritize and complete these tasks until all are finished

  6. Schedule breaks and rewards for completed activities into your day

  7. Be flexible and schedule interruptions into your day

  8. Delegate activities - share your knowledge and show others you trust them to complete these activities

  9. Acknowledge the people you encounter in your day with a smile and/or kind gesture

  10. Straighten your desk, schedule activities for the next day

  11. Leave work issues at work and home issues at home - unless there is an emergency
